Vaccines at a Costco Pharmacy
In addition to filling your prescriptions, Costco Pharmacies also administer these common immunizations to Costco employees and their enrolled family members:
|Gardasil HPV (girls up to age 12)||Shingles (age 50+)|
|H1N1||Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis)|
|Hepatitis A and B||Tetanus|
|FluMist (Influenza Vaccine Live, Intranasal)||Varicella|
|Fluzone High-Dose||*Yellow Fever|
* Typhim (Typhiod) and Yellow Fever vaccinations are not a covered benefit of Costco's Prescription Drug Program.
This list doesn’t include all of the recommended immunizations, just those provided at Costco Pharmacies. You can view a full list of all recommended health screenings and immunizations on the Preventive Care Schedule.
Your Doctor’s office is still an option for getting your immunizations but if you choose to use Costco here’s a couple of things you should know.
- Except for the Influenza shot, the co-pay for immunizations is the same as the brand-name copay filled at Costco. All Costco Employees and their family members enrolled in a Costco medical plan can get a free flu shot by going to a Costco Pharmacy.
- Minimum age requirements can vary by state. Some locations may require a prescription from a doctor for children under 12, while others require a prescription for children under 18. Please check with your local Costco Pharmacy to see what the requirements are.
- Appointments may be required at a Costco Pharmacy so please call your Costco Pharmacy before you go.
